Our Story

55° emerged from Karen and Neil’s shared love for wine and the unforgettable experiences they cherished during their visits to Napa Valley over the years. Settling in the valley in 1999, they quickly integrated themselves into the community, participating in various philanthropic endeavors such as storing charity wines at no cost, promoting new wine releases, and actively engaging in fundraising events across the region.

The inception of 55° took root in Karen and Neil’s desire to simplify the complexities of wine purchasing and delivery, a challenge they encountered while living out of state. Having managed numerous wine transactions from afar, they recognized the need for a centralized, secure space for both locals and out-of-state buyers to purchase wines and consolidate deliveries. This realization led them to embark on a new venture upon retiring and relocating from the Midwest to Napa Valley.

Today, the dedicated team at 55°, comprised of long-term employees, remains committed to realizing Neil’s vision. With a focus on providing exceptional service and facilitating seamless wine transactions, they continue to serve the needs of wine enthusiasts near and far.
